It was a special day on Thursday August 19th, 2021 as guests participated in the York Region Chairman’s Charity Golf Tournament. There was a total of 104 golfers in attendance and everyone enjoyed the beautiful weather and a COVID-19 safe experience, thanks to the team at Upper Unionville Golf Club.
We are so thankful to Chairman Emmerson for hosting this fabulous event. We also want to send out a special thank you to Lina Bigioni for organizing the tournament. It was evident that they were the heartbeat behind bringing everyone together and we’re so appreciative of Chairman Emmerson and Lina’s dedication to the Connect Campaign to build a new Nature Centre at Scanlon Creek. Also, a big thank you to all of the sponsors for their support and the Unionville Golf Club for putting on such a great event. You can tell by the smiles on everyone’s faces that we all had a wonderful time.
At this time, we are thrilled to announce that the tournament raised over $170,000 for the Connect Campaign. Thank you! We are just shy of $2,000,000 raised now for the Nature Centre. It won’t be long now until we hear the pitter patter of little feet running around a brand new Nature Centre.
