The Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority and Foundation are mourning the passing of Dave Kerwin, who passed away on February 6, 2023, at 84 years.
Dave was the longest serving former Newmarket councillor, spending 39 years on council under six different mayors. Dave proudly served on the Conservation Authority Board and on the Connect Campaign Cabinet along with his wife Erika. Dave was one of our strongest supporters and we will miss his incredible smile and positive energy.
A memorial service will be held on May 12, 2023, at Old Town Hall in Newmarket. In lieu of flowers, Dave’s family has asked to please consider a memorial donation to the new Nature Centre project.
