Nature Activities
With the closure of parks and Conservation Areas because of COVID-19, outdoor educational programming at Scanlon Creek has been cancelled for the time being, but there’s no need to worry! Kids can continue to learn about and appreciate nature AND have fun in their own backyards because LSRCA’s outdoor educators have just made their outdoor learning activities available online. These are all activities that the new Nature Centre will bring to life! Check out the page below for a list of fun activities to try with your kids and grandchildren. New activities are being added all the time.
Math Sticks
A math activity for kindergarten, grade 1 or grade 2 students. All you need is a ruler, veggie peeler, marker and some sticks! Parents will need to help get the sticks ready using the veggie peeler!
